Netflix teases Black Mirror's fourth season

If the year 2017 hasn't been depressing enough for you, know that you'll be bummed out soon enough when season four of Black Mirror debuts on Netflix. The streaming service released a brief teaser this week for the modern-day Twilight Zone anthology series, revealing the titles of the six upcoming updates, but sadly neglecting to give us an actual release date.

Along with the titles, we get a few shots of each episode, hinting at their basic premise. Along with the creepy uses for technology and gadgets that Black Mirror is known for, it appears this season will even feature an homage to Star Trek. There's "Crocodile," "Arkangel," "Hang the DJ," "USS Callister," "Metalhead," and "Black Museum."

The Star Trek-like episode, "USS Callister," features actor Jesse Plemons of Breaking Bad and Friday Night Lights as the starship commander, while "Arkangel" was directed by Jodie Foster. Dystopia and paranoia are sure to star in each episode, however. While there's official release yet, season four is expected to be out before the end of the year.

Created by Charlie Brooker, Black Mirror originally aired in the UK between 2011 and 2014 on Channel 4. In 2015, Netflix picked up the show, ordering 12 new episodes to be produced. The first six of those made up last year's season three, while the remaining six will be the new season.
