Nebula glass set adds stunning space photos to every beverage

It's difficult to find a unique mug or drinking glass; there's one for every sports team, one with every witty saving, amusing picture, and pithy platitude. Perhaps that makes the new Nebula Glass Set so special — these black glasses feature stunning photos of space nebulas, ones that are both beautiful and arguably classy. The set is comprised of four glasses, each featuring a specific nebula spotted by the Hubble Space Telescope.

The glass set features the Veil Nebula, Butterfly Nebula, Helix Nebula, and the Seahorse Nebula. All the photos were captured using the Hubble Space Telescope; ThinkGeek says the designs are applied via a high-temperature heat wrap rather than being part of the glass itself. Each cup can hold ten ounces of liquid.

The cups are designed with a somewhat mug-like shape, or something akin to a stemless wine glass. Each piece measures 3-inches in diameter at its widest point and 3.5-inches tall. Because the images are heat wrapped, you'll have to wash by hand and avoid putting the cups in the microwave. You should probably also avoid putting hot beverages in them. The set costs $24.99 via ThinkGeek.

Can't get enough space pics? NASA has published many incredible photos over the years, including the "Stellar Nursery" image we saw back in September. Of course, not every photo NASA posts is so colorful. Others, at least according to conspiracy theorists, show Martian artifacts and critters.
