MSI WindPad 110W with AMD C-50 APU and WindPad 100A Honeycomb tablets imminent

MSI is readying a tablet PC running AMD's dual-core C-50 APU, according to sources in Taipei, with the Windows 7 based slate expected to make its debut at CeBIT 2011 early next month. According to DigiTimes' sources, the MSI WindPad 110W will pair the Brazos processor and integrated Radeon HD 6310 graphics with a 32GB SSD. Meanwhile, there's also talk of an MSI Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet, also expected to show up for the first time.

Inside the WindPad 110W there'll be a g-sensor, light sensor and WiFi connectivity, while the OS is Windows 7 Home Premium. Interestingly, the last time we heard of MSI's Windows 7 tablet plans, it was the underwhelming U110W running Intel's Atom Z530 processor, so it seems the company has had a change of architecture heart in the meantime. Still, an Intel-based WindPad 100W is also expected to be shown.

As for the Android slate, that's the MSI WindPad 100A. First tipped as in the works back in late December, the 110W will run NVIDIA's Tegra 2 processor – as in the XOOM and Galaxy Tab 10.1 – but otherwise details are in short supply.
