MSI Wind U210 packs AMD Neo into 12.1-inch U200 chassis

MSI have prepared another AMD variant of an existing Intel model, in the shape of the Wind U210.  The 12.1-inch thin-and-light notebook is based on the MSI Wind U200, but switches that machine's Intel CULV processor for one from AMD's Yukon range.  Two models will kick off the new U210 series, the MSI Wind U210-002 with the AMD Athlon Neo NV-40 1.6GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB HDD, and the Wind U210-010 with the same CPU, 2GB of RAM and a 250GB HDD.

There's also an ATI Mobility Radeon X1250 GPU in both machines, along with WiFi a/b/g/n, ethernet 10/100, Bluetooth and an optional external DVD burner.  Both have a webcam, HDMI port, measure 297 x 190 x 31 mm and have a standard 6-cell li-ion battery.

The Wind U210-002 will apparently drop in Europe for €399 ($571) including tax, while the U210-010 will be slightly more expensive at €449 ($643).  MSI seem to be developing a taste for AMD versions of Intel machines: earlier this week we discovered they would be selling the X-Slim X610, using the same NV-30 processor as the U210 but with the chassis of the X-Slim X600.
