Motorola "Shamu" surfaces in new image with specs

The Motorola handset codenamed "Shamu" has reportedly surfaced in a pair of images showing a distinctly Moto X-like design. Among the rumors comes the claim that the phone will offer a 5.92-inch display and a body that trumps that measurement slightly. We've got the rest of the details after the jump.

The device, which may or may not be the Nexus 6, is tipped to be a phablet handset, with the ginormous display taking up most of the front. The design itself, according to 9to5Google, will be like the second variety of the Moto X, only "scaled up" and with some so-called minor tweaks.

We recently saw benchmarks said to belong to "Shamu" surface, but according to the latest leak, only some of those specifications are correct. The display will reportedly be larger, and with that big screen will come a 2560x1440 resolution (498ppi). There will be a 3200mAh battery to handle it, according to the source.

The camera will also be a bit better than previously leaked, coming in at 13-megapixels and able to shoot videos in up to Ultra HD (4k) resolution. The front camera will reportedly be 2MP, the same as in the newer Moto X. Joining these things is tipped to be a Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage (with other capacities being likely). Word on 64-bit Android L is still lacking, unfortunately.
