Mortal Kombat 11 shows off the Terminator in a brutal gameplay trailer

Mortal Kombat 11 is set to get a pretty eclectic group of DLC characters, and the first non-Mortal Kombat character on the roster is about to head to the game. Following the releases of Shang Tsung and Nightwolf, the Terminator is the next character destined for Mortal Kombat 11. Today, NetherRealm Games gave us our first look at the Terminator in action with a new gameplay trailer.

As with most everything concerning Mortal Kombat 11, this new gameplay trailer is particularly brutal, so if you have a weak stomach, you might want to give it a pass. The Terminator – specifically speaking the T-800 – has a variety of tools at its disposal, including a couple of different types of guns as well as some futuristic grenades. The Terminator can also teleport, so players will have that to contend with too.

Of course, the Terminator doesn't rely only on weaponry and technology to win fights. The trailer shows that the T-800 can also combo with the best of them, and at one point during the trailer, we even see the it take its true form. Unfortunately, it's clear that Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't voicing the Terminator's appearance in Mortal Kombat 11, as the voice work is of the "close-but-not-quite" variety.

The Terminator is the third DLC character to launch for Mortal Kombat 11, and his release is right around the corner. For those with the Kombat Pack, the Terminator is arriving on October 8th. For everyone else, the Terminator will be launching a week later on October 15th, but of course, you'll need to pay up in order to add him to his roster.

After the Terminator has launched, our attention will turn to Sindel, who currently has a release date of November 26th. After that, we're back to guest characters from other franchises, with The Joker releasing on January 28th and Spawn releasing on March 17th.
