Office 365 now free to eligible students worldwide

College is filled with writing papers, giving presentations, and even the occasional spreadsheet. It's always such a hassle going to the campus library to use their licensed Microsoft products. Now, Microsoft is making it easier get to the top of the class by offering Microsoft Office 365 free to students. That's right, you won't even have to buy it at your student discount rate, because now it won't cost a dime. They've offered this before and limited it to the US, but now their campaign has gone worldwide.

All you have to do, if you are a student, is sign up using your student email address. Teachers can get in on this great deal too. They can uses their teacher email address to sign up. Only certain educational institutions are eligible. It depends on if your school has purchased Microsoft Office for faculty. If so, then Microsoft considers this Office package to students and teachers one of the perks.

Once you have signed up for Office 365 using Microsoft's website, you can get the latest versions of necessities like Word, Powerpoint, and Excel as well as OneNote, Access, and Publisher. Each account can install these on up to five desktops and five mobile devices.

New users will also get 1TB of storage on OneDrive, Microsoft's cloud. That's more than enough to store all your educational PowerPoint presentations. Who are we kidding? Go ahead and use it store Game of Thrones and your vacation selfie collection. That's what college is really all about.
