Meizu PRO 6 detailed and released at last

Today the Meizu PRO 6 has been revealed with a 3D Press display and a 10-core processor under the hood. This device runs Meizu's custom version of Android, Flyme – like most Meizu devices do, and rolls with a 5.2-inch display with Full HD resolution and Super AMOLED technology for extra-sharp and color-correct images all day long. If this device's quality is anything like the past few releases from Meizu, it's going to be a real battle-ready piece of machinery to take on Apple and Xiaomi in China, without a doubt.

Inside this device you'll find a MediaTek 10-core processor with 4GB of RAM. There's a 21-megapixel camera on this smartphone's back with a laser autofocus assist system, and a 5-megapixel camera up front. It's going to be able to take on the biggest and baddest of new-age apps while it takes photos bigger than you'll ever need them to be.

The display is a Samsung panel – they've gone so far as to point it out on their Meizu product page – that means it'll be great.

The camera uses a Sony IMX230 sensor – the same as the PRO 5. This version's addition of laser-assisted focus apparently creates a situation in which focus distance and speed is greatly improved. There's a ring flash as well to help with weak lighting conditions.

Of note is the Cirrus Logic CS43L36 chip inside – mentioned specifically by Meizu as a point of excellence. This chip gives the smartphone Hi-Fi ability – super top-notch connections.

The Meizu PRO 6 works with dual-card slot for 2-sim cards, both 4G capable. You'll find a 2560mAh battery inside that the company suggests takes 60 minutes to charge.

Two different editions will be made available, both looking more or less the same, both coming to China first. A 32GB is 2499RMB ($386 USD, while the 64GB edition is is 2799RMB ($432 USD). We'll see more of this device soon!
