Mega Man helmet is wearable, features LED lights

Mega Man helmets — there's no shortage of them unless you're looking for one big enough to wear on your own head, in which case your options dwindle to almost nothing. Enter ThinkGeek's latest creation, the human-sized and totally wearable Mega Man helmet. With this, fans get a lightweight wearable option with a side dose of flashy effects thanks to some embedded LEDs and a couple batteries.

As with other ThinkGeek gear, the Mega Man helmet is officially licensed, and is labeled as a "Collector's Edition." There are LED lights on the side powered by two AAA batteries; a power button under the crest allows the lights to be toggled on and off. As well, the helmet is light enough to wear comfortably at a touch over a pound in weight.

The helmet features multiple layers of padding on the inside, according to ThinkGeek, for an extra level of comfort, though of course you don't want to be using the helmet for protective purposes. The unit is quite large at 12 inches x 13 inches x 13 inches. It is made from ABS plastic and features a glossy polished finish.

Putting it on should be easy thanks to a hinge down the middle, allowing it to split open. If the padding makes it too tight, it can be removed or repositioned. ThinkGeek emphasizes the helmet can't be used for protective purposes, however.
