Mass Effect: Andromeda release date leaked

Thus far, Electronic Arts and BioWare have been fairly tight-lipped on when Mass Effect: Andromeda will launch. Who needs them when we've got Dark Horse Comics, though? It would appear that Dark Horse has leaked the release date of Mass Effect: Andromeda in a listing for the tie-in art book the company is publishing.

Spotted by Destructoid, the Amazon listing for The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda gives the book a release date of March 21, 2017, which doesn't give much away on its own. It's not until you make it to the part of the description that says "Dark Horse will release The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda simultaneously with the game!" that you realize someone may have made a mistake.

BioWare and Electronic Arts, for their part, have so far only stuck to an early 2017 release window. Mass Effect: Andromeda was originally scheduled to launch in time for the holiday season this year, but was hit with this delay back in May. Since then, neither developer nor publisher has been willing to get more specific.

However, when you consider that we're quickly closing in on early 2017, it seems safe to assume that we'll find out soon if this Dark Horse date is indeed legitimate. Mass Effect: Andromeda takes place in the same universe as the original Mass Effect trilogy but doesn't continue the story of Commander Shepard. When it does eventually arrive, it'll be launching on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
