Mass Effect 3 new ending hits June 26

The brand new ending for the game Mass Effect 3 demanded by fans across the world has officially been announced for release for June 26. Controversy surrounded the original ending of the game when disturbed gamers found that a whole lot of what they'd been hoping to learn about the story's ending was not answered by the time the final credits rolled and because no matter what they did during the game, the ending was essentially the same. With this update, the game will be getting an "Extended Cut" of the ending with a lot more of a player-decided outcome.

This new ending has been described by BioWare as a new cut that doesn't completely destroy what they've already presented, but instead does the following, per a BioWare news announcement to media and owners of the game:

"[This ending] "provides more of the answers and closure that players have been asking for... gives a sense of what the future holds as a result of the decisions made throughout the series [and] shows greater detail in the successes or failures based on how players achieved their endings." – BioWare

You'll be seeing this game ending come June 26 across the earth as a piece of downloadable content at just 1.9GB. This file will be able to be downloaded to PC, PS3, or Xbox 360 in turn. To access each different ending, players will have to make different decisions throughout the game, each decision changing what's happened in the timeline they've pushed.
