Luke Skywalker's blaster goes on the auction block

When you think of Luke Skywalker's iconic weapon of choice, you no doubt think of one of his two lightsabers. Either the one passed down from dear old dad, or the one he constructed after dad separated him from it (and the hand holding it). But there was one other weapon that he weilded, during The Empire Strikes Back, and it's up for sale, if you want it.The weapon looks a lot like Han's blaster, because they're both a DL-44. Han made some modifications to his (he does love his special modifications), but Luke's is pretty much the basic stock model. And those that know their history probably recognize the prop as being built from an old German mauser pistol. The pistol used in the film was actually given away by Mark Hamill back in the 1980's on a children's show. It's changed hands since then, with the last auction being back in 1998. Starting tomorrow, January 28th, you'll have the chance to make your bid through the Nate D. Sanders auction house. The minimum is just $200,000. That may seem like a lot, but keep in mind that hokey religions and ancient weaponry are no match for a good blaster at your side.If you're actually considering putting up that kind of cash on a prop, you should be warned that one section of the blaster has been glued back together. Despite this flaw, the auction house lists it in "very good condition."
