Linksys launches EA7500 MAX-STREAM MU-MIMO networking solutions at CES 2016

Linksys has unveiled a complete new range of WiFi networking solutions at CES 2016. The new networking solutions are all in the MAX-STREAM MU-MIMO family. The products were designed to keep up with the increasing performance needs of new WiFi devices like 4K TVs, computers, smartphones, and game consoles.

The first of the new products is the Linksys MAX-STREAM AC1900 dual-Band MU-MIMO gigabit Router EA7500 supporting 802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO tech. It's designed to ensure uninterrupted WiFi connectivity to multiple devices in the home and to function as if multiple devices have a dedicated router. It has a QUALCOMM IPQ 1.4GHz processor four-gigabit LAN ports, USB 3.0 ports, and USB 2.0 ports. It will sell for $199.99 and is set to launch in February.

The MAX-STREAM AC5400 Tri-Band MU-MIMO router EA9500 offers network performance of up to 5.3Gbps. It has a 1.4GHz dual core processor, eight-gigabit LAN ports, and eight external antennas among other features. It will sell for $499.99 and will launch in April.

MAX-STREAM RE7000 Range Extender supports 802.11ac Wave 2 and has dual antennas. It is designed to extend the wireless network into other areas of a home or office and can be used as a repeater or access point. It has a single gigabit port and will launch in the spring of 2016 for $149.99. The last of the products is the MAX-STREAM AC600 adapter that supports AC Wave 2, beamforming and connects to devices using a USB 2.0 port. It will sell for $59.99 and will launch in the spring of 2016.
