LG V30 finally launches in Europe via carriers

Manufacturers sometimes make the weirdest decisions in the name of business, citing market analysis and such. Samsung, for example, didn't make the Galaxy Note 5 available in Europe because it believed the productivity-focused phablet would have no audience there. LG has made it V series similarly unavailable in the market for various other excuses. Fortunately, that was promised to change with the LG V30 and that promise has finally happened, months after the smartphone launched elsewhere.

Granted, the LG V series is relatively new. The LG V10, the first in the series, launched in late 2015, replacing the old G Pro line as LG's second and larger offering of the year. When the V30 was announced in September, it was promised to indeed launch in Europe "in the coming days and weeks". Those weeks turned into months but, as they say, better late than never.

The V30 is the first in the V series to be made available from European carriers. Previously, the only way to get your hands on one would be through retailers, particularly those willing to ship from abroad. LG launched its late 2017 flagship in London last Friday and will be spreading through Germany, Spain, and other European markets throughout the month. Hopefully it won't take as long this time.

The LG V30 is one of the less talked about smartphone champions this year, but that hardly means it's noteworthy. It doesn't get dragged into controversies, which is always a good thing. It also has one of the best audio capabilities, both recording and headphone output among the flagships this year. Hopefully, the expanded availability will give it more exposure and sales before the LG G7 steals the spotlight in just 2 or 3 months.

Back at home, the LG V30 is now also available unlocked from B&H Photo. In addition, LG is holding a promo that gives you a $400 rebate if you buy an LG V30 or V30+ along with another LG product from B&H as well as C Spire. Of course, it's only for the holidays, so grab it while it's hot.
