LG Stylo 2 smartphone hits Cricket Wireless packing integrated stylus

Cricket Wireless has unveiled a new smartphone that will land at the pre-paid retailer on May 13 called the LG Stylo 2. The smartphone will sell for $169.99 and for the money it offers a 5.7-inch HD resolution screen. Since the device has a larger screen, it comes with an integrated stylus with Pen Pop and Screen-off Memo. The stylus and features allow the user to take notes in an app made just for writing with the stylus.

One of the cooler features of the smartphone is the Stylo 2 Dual Windows service that splits the screen in half-allowing users to work with two apps at one time. Volume and power keys are on the rear and the on-screen keyboard can be split or on one side of the device's large screen. The rear camera is a 12MP unit and the front camera has 5MP resolution. The front camera of the original LG Stylo offered Gesture Shot and Soft Light to make for good selfies that can be taken with a simple hand movement and the new version likely has those same features.

The OS is Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it has 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports additional storage if needed. The smartphone supports 4G LTE service and has integrated WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a microUSB port. It also has an integrated mobile hotspot.

The processor is a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 paired with 2GB of RAM. Power comes from a 3000mAh internal battery. The smartphone does have support for Google Maps navigation. The 5.7-inch screen is covered with Gorilla Glass 3 and that rear camera has laser autofocus. The device is only offered in silver. If you move an account to Cricket Wireless from a competing service, you can get up to $100 off the device.
