Wireless in-car iPod video transmitter
Not content with music-loving motorists having plenty of playlist distraction while at the wheel, aftermarket accessory company Princeton have released a wireless video transmitter for the iPod 5G. The idea is that you can tune your in-car TV into the signal and watch all those episodes of Lost and Desperate Housewives you downloaded in a fit of excitement when the iTunes Store started selling video, and then realised that on a dinky screen it just wasn't quite as fun.
Dip switches allow for a choice of four different transmit frequencies, and standard AV inputs mean that it's no one-trick pony; oh no, you can also transmit from a DVD player or portable games console and play that on your car's TV. Obviously it's no good if your screen is simply a sat-nav display, however; you'll need a UHF TV tuner to get the signal. Princeton sell two packages: the PCK-UAV comes with transmitter, 12v power supply and iPod cable, while the PCK-UAVH adds an adjustable in-car iPod holder.
