LG GX official: 5.5-inch display on Snapdragon 600

There's another relatively massive beast of a smartphone in town – over the sea, actually – with the name LG GX here near the end of 2013. What we're looking at here is a device that's extremely similar to what was presented with the LG G2, only here we've got a bit more of a traditional layout with buttons along this smartphone's sides rather than its back. You'll be working with a 5.5-inch display with 1080p IPS LCD technology and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor under the hood.

This device works with some advanced abilities like that of the LG G2, one of them being the "knock on" ability that allows you to tap your smartphone's display to wake it up. This device rolls out with a 13-megapixel camera at its back and the ability to interact with LG smart TV devices as well. You'll also have a 3,140 mAh battery inside for all-day battery life.

Another device this smartphone is very similar to is the LG Optimus G Pro. Released earlier this year, the LG Optimus G Pro also worked with a display that was extremely similar to the one on the LG GX, and had the same processor too. Now that we're nearer the end of the year, it was high time for an upgrade with advanced processing abilities and a slightly thinner body.

You'll be able to see this and a collection of other international smartphones when we head to Mobile World Congress 2014. Have a peek at our MWC 2014 tag portal and stick around – the fun begins on February 24th, 2014!
