LG G Flex2 now rolling out across the globe

LG's curved G Flex2 smartphone is now rolling out across the globe, according to the maker. This roll out comes ahead of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. The Flex2 will be available through big-name carriers in markets across the world, including France, Germany, the UK/US, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Says LG, "key markets" in those aforementioned regions will be revealing availability during Mobile World Congress, during which we'll be getting all the details as they arrive.

The LG G Flex2 is particularly notable due to its curved body, which stands out amongst the crowd as odd but feels nice in the hand when being used. There's a 5.5-inch FHD Curved P-OLED display making it all possible, as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 2.0GHz 64-bit octa-core processor. Both 16GB and 32GB versions are available, each offering a micro SD card slot and 2GB of memory.

This is complemented by a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS+ and Laser Auto Focus, as well as a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera (we've samples in our full review). The battery is a solid 3000mAh offering, and it all makes for a handset weighing in at 152 grams. Network support is 4G LTE/HSPA+ 21/42Mbps. There's also Bluetooth Smart Ready 4.1, NFC, A-GPS and Glonass, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac WiFi, and SlimPort.

Some atypical features are also tossed into the mix, including a self-healing back cover, which helps keep the phone from being scuffed due to car keys and usage. Fast Charging is also offered, bringing the battery to nearly its 50-percent point in about 30 minutes.
