LG debuts new wireless HDTVs

The only real downside to putting a big, powerful home theater in your living room is all the wires that goes along with it. If you want to wall mount your HDTV, wires become even more of an issue because hiding them requires cutting into your wall.LG has announced two new HDTV lines that alleviate the issue of wires between your components and the TV. The LG LH85 series and 55LHX set both have wireless transmitter boxes that can throw full, uncompressed 1080p streams from your components to the TV over 30 feet away.

That means you can wall mount the sets without having to worry about wires running up the wall or cutting. The 55LHX set is only an inch thick at its thinnest point and has THX Display Certification. The set has a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 240Hz refresh rate. The LH85 series has an 80,000:1 contrast ratio and 24p Real Cinema tech. The 55LHX will be offered at $4,799 and the 55-inch LH85 will sell for $3,199 with a 47-inch LH85 selling for $2,399 later this fall.
