Lenovo YOGA 510, 710: Core i7, Full HD, 8.5hrs battery life

In the market for a new YOGA? Lenovo has unveiled two new models in the line, the YOGA 510 and YOGA 710. Both devices are similar but bring their own features and strengths to the table, with the YOGA 510 in particular boasting an 8.5 hour battery life and the YOGA 710 having nearly the same run time. The YOGA 710 in particular comes in two sizes, better positioning it to meet different needs.

Lenovo YOGA 510

The YOGA 510 boasts a 50-percent increase in battery life alongside a new lighter design and the YOGA flexibility that marks the entire product line. Under the hood lies 6th-generation Intel Core i7 processors alongside optional AMD Radeon R7 M460 graphics and either a 14-inch or 15-inch display with full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Storage is up to a 1TB HDD and memory goes up to 8GB DDR4. Other features include stereo speakers alongside Audio by Harmon Kardon, a backlit keyboard (optional), and a 1MP webcam. Connectivity includes WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, and GIGA LAN. Ports, finally, include a pair of USB 3.0 and an always-on USB 2.0, 4-in-1 card reader, audio jack, and HDMI.

The YOGA 510 14" will start at $599 USD and the YOGA 510 15" will start at $699 USD.

Lenovo YOGA 710

The YOGA 710 is offered in two sizes, 11-inches and 14-inches. The new 11-inch model is better for road warriors and others who are frequently on the go, while the 14-inch model provides a little more screen space for long duration use. The smaller model comes with up to a Core m5 processor, while the larger model has a 6th-generation Intel Core i7 processor.

The 11-inch model features a Full HD IPS display, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to a 256GB SSD. There's integrated Intel graphics, up to 8 hours of battery life, and a 1MP webcam. Ports include a single always-on USB 3.0 offering, micro HDMI, and a combo audio jack.

The 14-inch model is similar, but includes an extra USB 3.0 port, 4-in-1 media card reader, JBL speakers with Dolby Audio certification, and optional NVIDIA GFX GeForce 940MX graphics.

The 11-inch model will be available in July starting at $499 USD, while the 14-inch model will start at $799 USD.
