Lenovo ThinkVision S28u, Q24i, and Q27q FHD and 4K displays revealed
In addition to introducing a number of laptops and tablets today, Lenovo has taken the wraps off three new monitors, including two in its Q-series and one in its ThinkVision line. All three monitors sport sleek, modern designs coupled with very slim bezels and a wide array of features. Depending on the model, users can expect large sizes, high resolutions, and technology for gamers.
Lenovo ThinkVision S28u
For business users who need the latest display technology and want a design that matches their ThinkPad comes the new ThinkVision S28u-10 monitor with TUV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certified flicker-free tech, a design that reduces reflections, and low blue light levels that don't impact the display's brightness and color accuracy.
The new ThinkVision display features a tilting stand with a quick-release mechanism, 100mm x 100mm VESA mount support, 90-percent DCI-P3 color space, 99-percent sRGB, HDMI 2.0, and DisplayPort 1.2. The model offers a 28-inch IPS panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 3840 x 2160 4K resolution, 75Hz refresh rate, 'extreme mode' 4ms response time, and a 178-degree vertical/horizontal viewing angle.
The ThinkVision S28u monitor will be available starting in October; price is unclear at this time.
Lenovo Q27q
Joining the new ThinkVision model is Lenovo's Q27q Monitor, a premium model sporting a 27-inch IPS display with a QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 178-degree viewing angles, 4ms/6ms response times, 75Hz refresh rate, WLED backlight, HDMI 1.4, and DisplayPort 1.2. The monitor also has a pair of integrated 3-watt speakers.
The model features an attractive, modern design based on the IdeaCentre A540 all-in-one PC, paired with incredibly slim bezels, a tilting stand, and support for 100mm x 100mm VESA mounts. The model is TUV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certified, offering 16.7 million colors, 3M:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and a weight of 11.6lbs.
The Lenovo Q27q monitor will be available this month starting at $299.99 USD.
Lenovo Q24i
Consumers who like the style of the new Q27q, but who have less demanding needs will enjoy the Q24i, a cheaper model featuring a 23.8-inch Full HD 1920 x 1080 display with TUV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification, AMD FreeSync, a 16:9 aspect ratio, 178-degree viewing angles, 4ms/6ms response times, 75Hz refresh rate, WLED backlight, HDMI 1.4, and VGA instead of DisplayPort.
As with the other model, the Q24i features a tilting stand, 100mm x 100mm VESA mount support, two integrated 3-watt speakers, and cable management. The model weighs 14.33lbs and is cheaper than its larger counterpart at $189.99 USD.
