Lenovo ThinkCentre M58 and M58p Desktops announced

Lenovo announced the next PCs in their ThinkCentre series today with the M58 and M58p. These computers are secure and Lenovo goes so far as to claim they are the most secure in the line that have been released by the company so far.

Both of these desktops include ThinkVantage Power Manager. This technology makes it so you can control how much power the computer uses through pre-set shut down times. Both also have the option of two different processors including the Intel E8000-series Core 2 Duo and the Intel Q9000-series Core 2 Quad.

Additionally, you can also disable the PS2 and USB ports for more security and Hardware Password Manager will be supported once April rolls around. This will allow you to set up passwords on the hardware, not just on the software. The ThinkCentre M58 starts at $500 while the M58p starts at $900. Both are available now in Small Form Factor and the standard Tower cases. An Eco Ultra Small Form Factor case will also be an option sometime in December.
