Kanye West ponders drone crashes and electrocution

Kanye West, purveyor of crazy/brilliant quips for us all, just came up with another chin-scratcher for you. If a drone falls on a baby, can it electrocute her? West set forth this Socrates-ish query in an assault lawsuit deposition surrounding his alleged battering of an intrusive photog in 2013.

West, clearly discussing the overarching desire of paparazzi to watch and report on everything he does, had the following questions for the Plaintiff's lawyer:

Wouldn't you like to just teach your daughter how to swim without a drone flying? What happens if a drone falls right next to her? Would it electrocute her? Could it fall and hit her if that paparazzi doesn't understand how to remote control the drone over their house?

Concerned parent, slightly mad rapper, or totally on-point? West brings up some interesting topics, here. Any goon can grab a camera and skulk around your house or favorite pizza spot, but should they be allowed to fly a drone over your home? If they crash it, are they liable for injury or damage?

For all the silliness it lets use muse at, the points raised are probably not out of touch for West. He's a celebrity, and the privacy we know and take for granted is not something he's familiar with now. Paparazzi may not have been thinking drones, though, so West might have also tipped the first domino.

Either way, we're sure the FAA just rage-quit their ongoing roundtable discussions on drones to get some fresh air. Another day, another drone issue.
