Jaguar F-Type Chequered Flag celebrates 70 years since the XK 120's debut

Jaguar is showing off a new version of the F-Type that is meant to celebrate the 70-years since the introduction of the XK 120 in 1948. The car is called the F-Type Chequered Flag Limited Edition and will come in both coupe and convertible forms. The special edition car has Chequered Flag badging along with logos on the headrests, tread plates, and a dark brushed aluminum center console finisher.

The car comes with a Windsor Leather interior with embossed Performance Seats, Ebony Suedecloth headlining, and steering wheel with a red center top marker. Jag offers the special edition in Caldera Red, Fuji White, and Carpathian Grey with a black contrast roof. The car rolls on 20-inch wheels with diamond turned finish.

The special F-Type will come in three flavors each with different engines. The base is a 300PS four-cylinder engine. The up-level models get either a 340PS or 380PS supercharged V6; all modes use the 8-speed Quickshift transmission.

Jaguar revised the damper tuning on the F-Type R to improve ride comfort at low speeds. All Chequered Flag versions get the Exterior Black Design Pack with SVO extended side sills. The black leather inside the car can be had with contrast stitching in red or cirrus.

Heated and cooled seats are an option and the Touch Pro infotainment system is standard. That infotainment system has Meridian audio and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with a 10-inch touchscreen. The 380PS model can be had with Jaguar all-wheel drive.
