iPhone 7 revealed early

This morning Apple revealed the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, two devices with looks very similar to their predecessors with new innards and next-gen camera abilities. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have been made available for pre-order today (or later today, depending on when this article is published), and both models are coming in black. The iPhone 7 Plus' version of black (in addition to its own darker Space Gray) is a Piano-like tone – shiny!

The iPhone 7 Plus has a dual-camera system, not unlike that of the Huawei P9 and the LG G5 – both devices working with two cameras that capture a single photo. Both the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus have been shown with a newly upgraded water resistance, as well.

The iPhone 7 will have no headphone jack. The bottom of the device will be working with Stereo speakers instead, one out of each of two audio arrays. The iPhone 7 will also have longer battery life than the previous device – so says Apple – but we'll see about that when we do our full review!

The lot of these details have been made public just a BIT earlier than expected due to a flub on Apple's Twitter account. All tweets have since been deleted.

Stick around SlashGear's Apple hub for full details on these devices – and stick around for hands-on action and first impressions early this afternoon!
