iPhone 6 spreads: 36 more countries in October

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are getting even bigger, with China, Israel, and South Korea among 36 new countries and territories set to get the new iOS 8 smartphones in October. A staggered roll-out across locations through the month will see the iPhone 6 family available in 69 countries and territories before November has even started, though Apple says it's still on track to increase that number to more than 115 before 2014 is through.

First up in the availability expansion will be China, India, and Monaco, which will all get the two iPhones this coming Friday, October 17th. Chinese reservations have already hit more than two million units. They'll be followed by Israel, the following Thursday, on October 23rd.

The Czech Republic, French West Indies, Greenland, Malta, Poland, Reunion Island, and South Africa will see their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch on Friday, October 24th.

The following Thursday, October 30th, will see the handsets spread to Bahrain and Kuwait.

Finally, Friday, October 31st will bring a launch in Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Guam, Hungary, Iceland, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macau, Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, South Korea, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Thailand.
