iPhone 6 release on September 19th says German carrier

The iPhone 6 is well on its way to a full unveiling. Germany mobile device carrier Deutsche Telekom has decided to pull the trigger early and make a guess at what date the next iPhone will be released, promising prospective users that they'll have the machine by September 19th. This date is almost certainly based on previous iPhone reveal events and the tracking of dates in accordance with previous iPhone releases.

If the iPhone 6 follows the schedule of the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5 before that, it'll be revealed in the days leading up to September 19th and released that Friday. This would be consistent with previous launches, each of them happening in a similar fashion. First the event during the week, then the launch the Friday immediately following.

The iPhone 4S was launched several weeks after its reveal, appearing in stores on October 14th, 2011. After the iPhone 4S, a trend began to emerge.

With the reveal of the iPhone 5 came the first "Friday after" release on the 21st of September, 2012. The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c were revealed on the same date and also became available the Friday after – this time on September 20th.

Have a peek at the timeline below for additional clues on the development and release of the iPhone 6. It's expected that there'll be at least one larger iPhone, one with a 4.7-inch display, and a possible second release later in the year with a 5.5-inch display as well.
