HyperX Cloud for PS4 gaming headset is officially licensed by Sony

HyperX has launched a new gaming headset designed specifically for the PlayStation 4 console. The product is officially licensed by Sony, according to the company, which promises a high level of comfort and quality. Unlike many competing headsets, the latest HyperX Cloud model features a detachable microphone, enabling users to remove the extension when they only need game audio.

The HyperX Cloud for PS4 features 53mm drivers and an aluminum frame, detachable microphone, and the maker's Signature Memory Foam cushions. The memory foam is covered by soft leatherette, and users get a decent level of customization via the adjustable headband. This is HyperX's first headset licensed specifically for the PlayStation 4 console.

The model has a black and blue design that visually pairs well with the PlayStation 4 style. The microphone offers noise-cancelling technology to help block out unwanted ambient sounds, and there's a two-year warranty to go alongside the promise of high-durability. As well, users get in-line controls for rapidly muting the microphone and adjusting the audio level.

At $79.99 USD, the model is fairly affordable for gaming aficionados who need something more comfortable and capable than a cheap headset, but who aren't willing to spend $200+ on a pro-tier headset. The company is offering the HyperX Cloud for PS4 now through Best Buy and Amazon.
