Hyperloop project scores former SpaceX director, applications are now open

The crowd-centric startup company JumpStartFund has been busy with ambitions to bring Elon Musk's Hyperloop to reality, something that is now well under way with an announcement that former SpaceX Director of Mission Operations Dr. Marco Villa and ASCE President Dr. Patricia Galloway have stepped on board. In addition, JumpStartFund is now accepting applications from those interested in working on the project fulltime.

Both Galloway and Villa be heading up and managing the project to bring the Hyperloop to fruition, a project that is officially underway and will receive a new company to make it all happen. Such came after nearly a month of voting, vetting, and similar activities by those involved with JumpStartFund, and the community will be involved as various advisory groups to tackle problems and design, among other things.

In addition, JumpStartFund is now taking applications from those who want to work on the Hyperloop team, something that will require a fulltime commitment and will be paid in the form of equity in the company. To submit an application, one has to head over to JumpStartFund's Participate portal on its website for relevant information and application details.

Said Dr. Galloway of the project: "I believe this project will revolutionize how transportation will be viewed for future travel. What is different today is the opportunities that crowdsourcing and crowdfunding offers in getting dreams and innovations off the ground to allow the 'Concordes' of the future become reality today."
