Huawei Mate 9 offers up to 6GB RAM and 256GB storage tips leak

Some details on the coming Huawei Mate 9 smartphone have leaked and those details claim that the device will be offered in three different versions that vary based on the hardware under the skin. Each step up the Mate 9 ladder you go will bring more RAM and larger storage capacities along with new colors to choose from.

The top of the line Mate 9 will pack 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It will be the only version of the Mate 9 that can be had in black. Other available colors are tipped to include white, gold, brown, gray, and pink. Pricing is tipped to be about $700 here in the US and €630 elsewhere. While the leak doesn't point to screen size or offer any insight into the chipset, previous leaks have given indication of what else the phone will offer.

The screen is a 6-inch unit of undisclosed resolution. The chipset is said to be a Kirin 960 and the OS will be Android 7.0 right out of the box. The smartphone has a dual camera system with 12MP sensor and the ability to record 4K video. The front camera is an 8MP unit.

If you don't want to drop the $700 the high-end version will cost there are two other versions with 4GB of RAM inside and either 128GB of storage or 64GB of storage. Color options for the 128GB version include white, gold, brown, gray, and pink. The 64GB version will come in silver, gold, and gray only. Pricing is said to be $550/€500 for the 128GB version and $480/€430 for the 64GB version. A slightly more expensive 64GB version will be a dual SIM offering. There is no indication when the official launch will come, but it has to be close.
