Huawei Ascend P7 photos leak onto the web

It's not uncommon at all for us to see images of an unannounced smartphone hit the web, it happens all the time. Typically, when it does happen the photos are blurry and it's hard to make out details at time. Some images of a new smartphone from Huawei have hit the internet this week and they are crystal clear. The images are said to be of the Huawei Ascend P7.

This same device made its way through the TENAA agency for certifications in China earlier this month. Comparing the images, the phone that TENAA showed off was black whereas the leaks today show the smartphone in glossy white. TENAA also offered images that were a bit blurry compared to this new rash of shots.

Sadly, the newly leaked images of the Ascend P7 bring with them no new rumors on specifications. We are still basing expectations for hardware inside the smartphone on past leaks. Those leaks suggested that the Ascend P7 would have a 5-inch screen with full HD resolution. Internal storage is expected to be 16GB with 2GB of RAM.

The processor running the show is believed to be a 1.6GHz quad-core HiSilicon Kirin 910 processor. Some previous rumors had suggested that the rear camera would have a dual LED flash, these new images back up the ones from earlier this month and show that the rear flash is a single LED unit. Huawei has been teasing an event in Paris on May 7 and the launch of the Ascend P7 is expected to happen there.
