HTC M7 rumored for February 19 announcement

We've been hearing a lot of hearsay about HTC's upcoming rumored flagship handset, and while a lot of the rumors that we've heard have been pointing to a spring release date, but it looks like the announcement and event will take place a bit earlier. More specifically, we're hearing February 19 as the launch event for the new device.

Mobile phone reviewer and web marketing specialist Flavio revealed over Twitter that HTC is planning to announce the M7 on February 19 during the company's own press event in London. While Mobile World Congress seemed like a good place for HTC to announce the upcoming phone, it's rumored that the company will actually hold their own event, which a lot of companies are doing nowadays.

Flavio didn't reveal his sources when asked, but assured us that, "with many years of work in the field, I have my connections." Mobile World Congress takes place toward the end of February from the 25th to the 28th, so if HTC does in end up announcing the M7 on the 19th, it's certain that the M7 will still be a big talking point in Barcelona that week.

As far as specs are concerned, the M7 will come with a 4.7-inch 1080p display, the new Sense 5 UI, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, 32GB of internal storage, and a 2300mAh battery. As far as design goes, we've seen a couple of renders, as well as what is said to be the actual device in real photos, but we're not sure what to expect at this point.
