HTC Desire 610 revealed as mid-range without compromise

The smartphone makers at HTC have planted themselves firmly in the world of mid-range devices this week at Mobile World Congress 2014 with two new devices that take on the full pack. One is the China-aimed Desire 816, the other is the Desire 610, which we'll be talking about here. This device comes with a 4.7-inch qHD display with a palm-sized delivery at 143.1 x 70.5 x 9.6 mm, coming with Android Jelly Bean and HTC Sense right out of the box.

This device works with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2Ghz. This processor has four CPU cores and is paired with 1GB of RAM. Inside you've got 8GB of storage with a microSD card slot for 64GB of additional storage space if you've got a card on hand.

You'll have two forward-facing speakers with HTC BoomSound, HTC Sense Voice, and a set of fine cameras too. Up front you'll have a 1.3MP camera with FSI sensor and the ability to record 720p HD video. On the back you've got an 8MP camera with f/2.4 and BSI sensor technology to boot.

This device has Wi-Fi®: IEEE 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, and DLNA as well as HTC Connect. This device works with 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE, and will be aimed at Europe first.

The HTC Desire 610 will be available across Europe starting in May. After that we're still waiting on details ourselves – that includes the final cost of this machine as well as exact availability with carriers.
