HTC Bliss Visits FCC, Ready For Debut On Verizon

Since Android seems heavily marketed towards men, HTC has decided to introduce a different kind of Android smartphone specifically tailored to the female demographic and it's called the HTC Bliss. The device has just passed through the FCC and even its filing document with multicolored labels and Comic Sans font looking a bit cutesy.Rumors about the HTC Bliss first turned up back in May, revealing that the handset would be a calming pale green with matching accessories and an attached charm that lights up to indicate missed calls or new messages. It was said that HTC even setup focus groups with women in their 20s and 30s to help develop features for the phone.

The HTC Bliss is expected to run Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with HTC Sense 3.5 running on top. Supposedly, custom feminine wallpapers will be preloaded along with other female-oriented apps. It should have a Qualcomm processor, rear-facing camera, and support for Bluetooth and WiFi. It's expected for Verizon this September, but will not be a 4G LTE handset.
