Back at the launch of HP’s Slate 500 last week, the company wasn’t saying exactly when the $799 Windows 7 tablet would arrive on the market. Keen pre-order customers, however, have spotted a ship date of November 17 2010 on their orders, suggesting the 8.9-inch Slate 500 is just three weeks out.
The Slate 500 has a 1.86GHz Atom Z560 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 64GB SSD, along with a Broadcom GPU accelerator chip. It’s bundled with a desktop dock with an HDMI output, while connectivity includes WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth. More hardware info here.
