HP slash Pavilion dv3t and dv2z prices

It's not only the new dv6z Artist Edition and dv6t that HP are unveiling today: the company has also taken a knife to the price tags of their ultraportable Pavilion dv3t and Pavilion dv2z.  The former, a 13.3-inch machine with Intel processors, went on sale back in April and now gets a $150 cut to $649.99.  Meanwhile the dv2z with its 12.1-inch display and AMD Neo processor slides down a similar amount to $599.

Your money gets you the Pentium dual-core 2GHz Pavilion dv3t, with 2GB of RAM (HP are currently offering a free upgrade to 3GB), a 250GB hard-drive (another promotion offers a free 320GB upgrade) and Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics.  There's also a DVD burner, WiFi b/g and a 6-cell Li-Ion battery.

As for the smaller Pavilion dv2z, available at the new price from June 10th, that offers up to 500GB of storage, optional external Blu-ray drive and a choice of up to dual-core AMD processors and discrete graphics.  We reviewed the HP Pavilion dv2 here.
