Like the idea of a cut-price Barnes & Noble nook but unwilling to give up 3G connectivity and settle for the $150 WiFi-only version?  As well as the new, entry-level model, Best Buy has also announced a price cut for the original nook, which brings it down from a Kindle-matching $259 to just $199.99.

What remains to be seen is whether Amazon follow suit with the Kindle, which is currently still listed at $259.  The nook is based on a customized version of Android, with both a 6-inch E Ink display and a smaller, touchscreen LCD panel underneath used for browsing and searching.  More details in our nook review.
