HP debuts new consumer desktop computers and x2301 LCD

HP has been the leader in PC shipments for a long time. The company ships computers all around the world and is updating and refreshing its offerings all the time. HP has announced some new additions to the consumer desktop line with several new families of computers, including the Pavilion p7, Pavilion Slimline s5, and the HP HPE h8 series machines. The three new desktop lines have different configurations so the buyer can get just what they need.

The p7 series has large amounts of storage space premium graphics, and support for surround sound built-in. The series of computers will land on May 18 starting at a price of $299.99. The machines will land in select retail locations on June 19. The Slimeline s5 computers are about half the size of a traditional PC and will land on June 19. The computers will start at $599 and have multiple options to choose from. HP will also have the HPE h8 series machines as well.

The h8 machines will be offered with AMD Phenom or Intel Core i7 CPUs. Video cards from NVIDIA and ATI will be offered, and they will support multiple displays. These machines will land on May 18 and will start at $599.99 with retail location availability on June 19. The HP x2301 23-inch MicroThin LED backlit monitor is only 9.8mm thick. It has LED backlighting and is EPEAT silver registered. The display will ship on June 10 for $279.
