HP Announces ProBook 5310m, HP Pavilion dm3,HP Mini 110 and HP Mini 311

HP has unveiled their holiday line-up, and the standouts are obviously the flagship HP Envy 13 and Envy 15 notebooks.  Along with the two new Envy models, though HP have also announced a bevy of other notebooks and netbooks, including the business-centric HP ProBook 5310m, the entry-level HP Pavilion dm3, a special edition Studio Tord Boontje HP Mini 110 netbook and the new NVIDIA Ion based 1080p-capable HP Mini 311.  More details of the full ranges after the cut.

The HP ProBook 5310m continues the company's range of sturdy, sober ultraportables, with a 13.3-inch LED-backlit HD display, 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo SP9300 CPU and up to 4GB of DDR3 memory packed into a 3.7lb, 0.9-inch thick black anodized aluminum chassis with magnesium frame.  The 5310m also boasts up to 7hrs runtime from the standard Li-Poly battery, while an optional six-cell pack will be released later in 2009 and extend that even further.  Storage ranges from up to a 320GB 7,200rpm HDD or a 128GB SSD, and alongside WiFi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 there's optional EVDO/HSPA.  The HP ProBook 5310m starts from $699 (with a Celeron dual-core CPU) or $899 (with the SP9300 CPU) and will launch on October 22nd in North America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

As for the HP Pavilion dm3, both AMD Athlon X2 Neo and Intel Pentium SU4100 versions of the 13.3-inch 1,366 x 768 notebook will be on offer, each offering 4GB of DDR3 memory and either ATI Radeon HD 3200 or GMA 4500MHD graphics respectively.  Both have WiFi a/b/g/n and a magnesium alloy/aluminum casing, along with a 6-cell Li-Ion battery good for up to 6hrs runtime from the Neo or 10hrs from the Pentium.  The HP Pavilion dm3 will also go on sale from October 22nd, priced from $549 with the Neo CPU or $649 with the Pentium CPU.

Moving to the netbooks, there are two new models each starting from $399.  The HP Mini 110 by Studio Tord Boontje is a special edition version of the existing Mini 110, which means Intel's Atom processor and 1GB of RAM in a new "endangered animals" themed casing that includes a custom lid, palmrest and trackpad.  Meanwhile the HP Mini 311 is the company's first NVIDIA Ion notebook, an 11.6-inch 16:9 machine based on Intel's 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard-drive and the new NVIDIA Ion LE graphics chipset.  The Mini 311 also has an HDMI port and a 92-percent keyboard, while there's also a 6-cell Li-Ion battery and WiFi b/g.  Both netbooks are priced from $399.
