HP 7 Plus budget tablet arrives with Jelly Bean

HP has introduced a less expensive version of its HP Slate 7 Plus, the aptly named HP 7 Plus tablet. With the 7 Plus comes a slight downgrade in specifications and a similar decrease in price, as well as a snazzy white body and the promise that it "looks sharp with a suit and dynamite with denim."

The HP 7 Plus features a 1GHz Cortex-A7 processor and 1GB of RAM, as well as 8GB of internal storage space and a 2800mAh battery. With that capacity, the tablet is said to get up to 5.5 hours of run time on a charge, though the parameters for that aren't specified.

There's 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Miracast compatibility, as well as a microSD expansion slot that supports up to 32GB and one micro USB 2.0 port. There's an integrated accelerometer, and a standard headphone jack and internal microphone.

To go with the mic is a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The display, meanwhile, measures in at 7-inches, hence the name, with a modest WVA 1024 x 600 resolution. The tablet is available now for $100 USD.
