Here's your PlayStation Plus free games lineup for July

With June 2018 wrapping up at the end of this week, it's time to start looking forward to July. That means another round of free PlayStation Plus games is coming up, and now Sony has revealed just what those games are. If you're ready for more from the mind of David Cage after Beyond: Two Souls was included in May's lineup, then you'll definitely want to have a look at what's on tap for July.

That's because the first game in July's lineup is Heavy Rain, another title from Cage and the folks at Quantic Dream. Heavy Rain might be a bit long in the tooth here in 2018 (it was released way back in 2010), but if you liked Beyond or Quantic Dream's latest, Detroit: Become Human, then it's certainly worth a download while it's free.

PS4's second free game for the month of July is Absolver. Published by Devolver Digital, Absolver is billed as an action role-playeing game that has some heavy fighting game elements to its combat. It's rather interesting to see this game included in PlayStation Plus, as it's still a fairly recent release – it launched on August 29, 2017, so it's still less than a year old at this point.

Also in July, PlayStation 3 subscribers will get to download free copies of Rayman 3 HD and Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess. PS Vita players, meanwhile, are getting free copies of Space Overlords and Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma, though in a similar situation to last month, neither of July's Vita games are cross-buy enabled with PS4.

Keep in mind that PlayStation Plus subscribers can still download a free copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on the house. That promotion was announced at E3 2018 and runs until July 11, so if you've been meaning to download it, you've got just about two weeks left to do so.
