Hennessey upgrades 2019 Lincoln Navigator to 600hp

The performance tuners at Hennessey are well-known for their boutique supercar, the Venom, and custom upgrades for sports cars like the Mustang, Viper, and Corvette, but lately they've been turning their eye towards SUVs and pickups. Their latest in this trend is a take on the new 2019 Lincoln Navigator, which outfits the family SUV with an additional 150 horsepower, perfect for a drag race against its stock sibling.

Interestingly, the Navigator with Hennessey's HPE600 package is a bit modest compared to their recent truck efforts, which includes a 1,200hp Jeep Trackhawk and a Silverado on steroids. Instead of completely replacing the Navigator's stock engine, they've just finessed it a little, allowing the 3.5-liter Ford EcoBoost V6 twin turbo to deliver 600hp, an increase from the standard 450hp.

Among the modifications and upgrades the HPE600 package makes to the Navigator include a high-flow air induction system, stainless steel exhaust system, air to air front mounted intercooler, along with options for a lowering kit and 22-inch wheels paired with performance tires. When all is said and done, the SUV is said to go from zero to 60mph in 4.8 seconds, and run a quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds at 107mph.

Hennessey chose to illustrate this by having the HPE600 Navigator drag race a 450hp stock model. Unsurprisingly, the upgraded version wins, but only by a margin that would make a Navigator owner ask if it's really worth the undisclosed price to make a big, heavy, 3-row SUV slightly faster.
