Hands-on with the Acer Picasso tablet

Android Community spent a bit of quality time with the Acer Picasso Android tablet recently and put up hoards of pics and a video to document the process. The Picasso is compared to the iPad 2 and the Xoom in size and weight. The Picasso is a tablet intended to run Android Honeycomb and right up front the thing is noted to not be ready for release.

I say intended because the version that AC was able to fondle isn't running Honeycomb. Apparently, AT&T isn't allowed to use the OS just yet. Instead, the sample AC used was running Android 2.1 Éclair. Sadly, the install was buggy and caused some issues so a full opinion of the performance of the tablet isn't possible.

Still, Android Community figures that the tablet might have a future with business types wanting an Android OS tablet. In the end, you can really only compare the Picasso in size, looks, and weight to tablets on the market thanks to the buggy OS. Hit the source for tons more pics.
