Samsung has yet another Gear VR headset, but while this new virtual reality rig may coincide with the new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, it does more than just ensure compatibility with the latest phones. The new Gear VR includes a Gear VR Controller powered by Oculus, a Bluetooth remote that supports 3-degree-of-freedom motion tracking. It opens the door to new games and apps which support hand-tracking.

Samsung will include the new Gear VR with Controller with preorders of the Galaxy S8 and S8+. It will also sell the Gear VR Controller itself separately, for those who already have the virtual reality headset.

Meanwhile, there's a new version of the Gear 360 camera. Updated for 2017 with true 4K video capture, the redesigned Gear 360 now integrates a stand rather than the older model's detachable tripod/handle. That allows the battery to be integrated into the base, and the whole thing is slimmer and easy to transport. It will livestream video at up to 2K via a compatible Android phone.
