Samsung’s flagship smartphone enters its seventh generation in the shape of the Galaxy S7 and the larger, curved Galaxy S7 edge, launching at Samsung Unpacked in Barcelona. The 5.1-inch S7 brings back the waterproofing of the old Galaxy S5 and also adds fan-favorites like a microSD slot.
As for the S7 edge, that has a 5.5-inch display with curved sides. Both get a new 12-megapixel camera with an f/1.7 lens and larger pixels than any previous Galaxy. Dubbed DualPixel, there’s full phase-detection autofocus like a professional DSLR.
Battery life should be greater with larger batteries on both models, while the processor is 30-percent more powerful and the GPU 64-percent more powerful than the S6.
