Rivian R1T Electric Pickup Truck and R1S SUV Gallery

Rivian has unveiled its electric pickup truck, the R1T, at the LA Auto Show 2018, along with the R1S seven-seater SUV. Designed to be a pair of a go-anywhere utility vehicles that just so happen to run on electricity, each promises up to around 400 miles of range depending on battery size, and capabilities that either match or exceed what you'd expect from a pickup or SUV of their size.

Three versions will be offered of each model, differentiated by battery size, range, and power. In the most potent of the trio, 0-60 mph comes in three seconds. The electric architecture – packaged into a slice underneath the car – allows for maximum flexibility of cargo: there's not only the truck bed, but a front trunk, underbody cargo containers, and more.

In the cabin, there are two touchscreens and fully digital instrumentation. Rivian is also planning to install the hardware required for Level 3 autonomous driving on the highway. Both vehicles will go on sale by late 2020.
