Maserati has revealed its newest super sports car, and the MC20 promises to pull the Italian automaker out of its current doldrums. Brand new from the ground up, it’s a two-seater that will launch first as a coupe but with a convertible down the line. Maserati also says that it has a fully-electric version on the roadmap, too.
For the moment, though, it’s a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine doing propulsion duty. An in-house design, it’s enough for 630 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque. 0-62 mph should come in under 2.9 seconds, and the top speed should be over 201 mph.
Outside, butterfly doors make a statement, while inside there’s plenty of leather, Alcantara, and exposed carbon fiber. Maserati says it has kept the detailing minimalistic, with two displays and the minimum of controls. As for the price, budget for upward of $210,000.
