Lexus LF-Z Electrified Concept Gallery

Lexus knows how to make a good-looking concept car, and with electrification high on its list of priorities, the LF-Z Electrified is a hint of how that might pan out in practice. The automaker has committed to 20 new vehicles by 2025, more than half of which will be electrified in some way. That includes BEVs, PHEVs, and HEVs.

The LF-Z Electrified, then, gives a taste of what that might look like. A sleek crossover, the luxury EV has space for four inside, with an electrochromatic panoramic glass roof overhead and a minimalistic cluster of controls on the dashboard. Eschewing the screen-heavy strategy of rivals, Lexus is pushing instead for a more conservative set of controls and screens, including making use of an AR HUD.

Under the sheet metal there's Lexus' DIRECT4 EV architecture. That can individually control power to each of the four wheels. As it's a concept, there's no hint on range or pricing for Lexus' future EVs.
