Jaguar F-Type Convertible Rally Car Gallery

Jaguar has some rally heritage in its blood, and it's marking that with a pair of special rally cars based on the F-Type convertible. The two FIA-spec racers begin with the British droptop in 2.0-liter four-cylinder form, and then Jaguar's engineers get busy with some serious modifications. After all, rally stages aren't exactly easy on the suspension.

There's a hand-built damper system, three-way adjustable to suit different surfaces, and new suspension, too. Motorsport-spec wheels get gravel-type tires, and there's a limited-slip differential and a hydraulic handbrake for hairpin corners. Of course, what most people will be looking at is the four-lamp hood-mounted light pod.

Inside, there's an FIA-specification rollcage, along with racing seats with six point harnesses. A fire extinguisher is also included. The overall styling is based on the F-Type Chequered Flag Limited Edition, which looks a little less striking but has the advantage of actually being up for sale.
