iPad Pro 10.5 Gallery

Apple's iPad Pro has had an update, and the promise of laptop-replacement computing is even more compelling. While the iPad Pro 10.5 may look at first glance like its 9.7-inch predecessor, plenty has changed. It's only a small amount more than 1 pound in weight, but slimmer bezels have made way for a significantly larger touchscreen.

On the front, star of the show is the new ProMotion Display technology. Packing a 120Hz refresh rate, it's hard to describe quite how smooth this LCD panel is in person. Use it with an Apple Pencil and latency is cut to just 20ms.

Inside, meanwhile, Apple's new A10X Fusion processor gets 4GB of RAM to play with. It'll really come into its own when iOS 11 arrives, but even before then it's making the new iPad Pro clearly one of the most potent tablets around. Just remember to budget for the not-inconsiderable price tag, plus the cost of accessories like the Smart Keyboard.
